Our town is fully walkable, and bikeable, too!
We are within walking distance of a Supermarket, Six Free Public Outdoor Pickleball Courts, Public Fitness Center, Swimming Pools, Library, and Visitors Center!
We’re only 4 miles from spectacular mountain biking trails at famous PHIL’S WORLD. And a stone’s throw from some of the best hiking in Colorado: the San Juan Mountains boast 14 peaks at least 14,000 feet high — we call ’em “the Fourteeners” — and Sundance RV Park is just a quick 90 minute drive from this hiker’s paradise and unparalled top-of-the-world views.
We’re just off Main Street, and close to everything for your vacationing pleasure. Across the street you’ll find beautiful Cortez City Park and the Colorado Welcome Center, a popular stop for visitor information.
Just past City Park is the Cortez Public Library, Centennial Park and Parque de Vida, two spacious, well-groomed public open green spaces with duck ponds, benches, six outdoor pickleball courts, and walking areas. Parque de Vida is home to the Cortez Recreation Center which offers public swimming pools, enclosed water slide, fitness & weight rooms, climbing wall, racquetball courts, a gymnasium with a jogging track, and outdoor tennis courts.
